Simply memorable! A special experience!
These are typical reflections on a round of golf at Highlands Country Club, whether a member in a daily group, a spouse competing in a tournament, a grandchild at Junior Golf Camp or a guest attending your special daughter’s wedding. The chance to play again among the wild azalea, mountain laurel, rhododendron and dogwood.
At Highlands Country Club we recognize the golf experience as a place to create memories and life long friendships.
The course was designed by Donald Ross and hewn in 1928 from the mountainous terrain of the Highlands Plateau. At an altitude approaching 4000 feet, the course is not overly demanding for the average golfer, but demands accuracy, particularly on approach shots.
Envisioned and nurtured by its founders, the Club and golf course have been a haven for families for over 85 years. Bob Jones maintained a home on club property for many years.
The ecosystem of the Highlands plateau provides a unique physical venue for our club and golf course. We are committed to sustaining these precious natural assets. Our sustainability programs have earned recognition as GEO Certified, Groundwater Guardian Greensite and Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary - all of which we value highly.
